Message from the President March.2021

Maximizing the Value to Clients

Because March is the final month of MEITEC's fiscal year, it is time to make a final sprint to achieve our efforts and initiatives by the end of the current fiscal year and the time to prepare for getting quickly off the starting line in the first month of the next fiscal year. At the same time, I believe that it is also the time to look back at our own accomplishments and growth in the current fiscal year, reflect on and pat ourselves on the back, and to thank the people around us once again.

Regarding The Transformation, namely the transformation of the business model that we have been working on since April 2020, it is hard to say we have been able to progress smoothly on it over the past year, given the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, but it has delivered some results. In particular, in "Providing Prime engineering solutions," we promoted the creation of a group of engineers able to provide Prime engineering solutions, and actual contracts have also been increasing. Regarding "Greatly increasing the digitization of design and development," we have enhanced the internal training necessary to solve DX and digitalization issues in the manufacturing industry, and engineers are currently taking these training courses as needed.

We also conducted a service satisfaction survey in cooperation with the clients, with the aim of maximizing the Value to Clients. We will identify gaps by asking clients to evaluate our accomplishments and growth and comparing their responses with our self-evaluations to take improvement measures. We will fully meet the expectations the clients have of us by quickly acting and exceeding their expectations. For that purpose, engineers and coordinators should first take the opinions and requests from clients in this survey to heart.

The new fiscal year will begin next month. While the end of the COVID-19 pandemic is still nowhere in sight, expectations for our engineering solutions from clients will continue to grow, even in this environment, given that technological innovation continues to evolve rapidly around the world. I believe that if the coordinators and engineers are able to collaborate to consolidate their knowledge, we will be able to provide solutions beyond the expectations of our clients. Let's prove to our clients that our future selves will undoubtedly have grown greater than our present selves from the market's perspective, as we avoid becoming complacent with the current situation. I will work together with all employees as one team to take on the challenge of further transforming the business model to enable us to continue to be the best, most reliable partner, and maximize the Value to Clients.
